and i used up a wee bit more of the stash, hurrah!
i really do love patchwork and quilting, but i don’t always have the patience for a really large project. these little potholders are just the project to satisfy my needs. i get to use up some scraps and it’s pretty much instant gratification.
a few days ago, i started another project, which will probably be an ongoing effort. see, we picked up the complete Calvin and Hobbes treasury last year, so the handful of C & H books i’d picked up over the years were no longer a necessary part of my library. so i decided to repurpose them.
i made some simple collage cards.
nothing fancy – just a panel or two, usually something out of context, without a punchline, and bits from magazines and old books.
and for fun’s sake, i carved a little “C & H upcycling” stamp to print on the backs of the cards.
