hello again, mccall’s 7646
July 26, 2009 at 7:17 am | In FO, crafts, sewing | 1 Commenti FINALLY picked up some yardage so i could make a real version of mccall’s 7646, instead of a test version.
two FOs and some raw materials
July 12, 2009 at 9:59 am | In FO, collage, crafts | Leave a Commentanother felicity hat!
black and periwinkle, using the leftover yarn from the other two felicity hats i made for myself. the birthday girl was SO happy to receive it, since she was coveting my hats.
yesterday, we went to the library and i popped into the library bookstore to see if there were any old books i could use for arty crafty stuff. i found two winners:
the mel bay book is old and the pages are a little brittle. perfect for any number of collage projects. and mel is a very deep, thoughtful guy. just look at his photo!
did i mention the booklet is kind of old?
and i’ve already used bits of both books in a new artbook collage.
book pages, magazine pages, colored pencil.
the past week’s FOs
July 4, 2009 at 8:38 am | In FO, collage, crafts, painting | 1 Commenti finished several small projects over the past week, but one of them is a birthday gift. i’ll post that after the birthday pal has received it.
in the meantime, i finished an altoids tin collage:
magazine/catalog pages and glitter.
and then i re-purposed a small canvas (i just wasn’t happy with its previous incarnation):
4″ x 4″. acrylic paint, modeling paste, applied in multiple layers, sanded, sprayed with alcohol, etched with a chopstick, and generally beat up. the sides of the canvas have little bits painted on them, too.
