just finished: a Ballband Dishcloth from Kay Gardiner and Ann Shayne’s Mason Dixon Knitting book. i was a little daunted by the pattern before i started – as usual! everything new seems like such a big task until i actually dive in and figure it out. but once i got into the rhythm of it, i really enjoyed the project. plus, we can use it in the kitchen. bonus points for craftiness that contains practicality!

i think i’ll make a few more, in different color combinations. a few of the older knitted dishcloths in our collection have become worn/holey from use. and i do have a pretty large stash of cotton yarns that could stand to be used up.

i’m thinking a pink and bright blue combo might be nice.

  1. Nice!

I fell in love with this pattern a month ago when I got the Mason-Dixon Knitting book out from the library and made yellow and orange ones to match my really horrible 70’s decorated kitchen :P
